Visual Studio Code is a stripped down version of Microsoft’s official development environment focused exclusively on the code editor.
It is multiplatform and supports the syntax of a large number of programming languages.
The tool provides support and assistance to languages of different scope:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, various variants of C, Java, SQL, PHO, Ruby, Visual Basic or JSON among many others, supporting highlighting, automatic bloody, snippets and autocomplete.
The environment does not have any fanfare,
focusing exclusively on flexibility and simplicity to precisely promote that compatibility on different platforms it offers,
beyond support for Git repositories or the possibility of opening multiple instances of files in the same window.
