What is your dating experience like in Taiwan?
Quite a few of my girl friends are leaving or already left Taiwan. I'm devastated because I hate saying goodbye.
Part of the reasons they decided to leave is, well, you guessed it, they were lonely.
I got black, white, and Hispanic friends, and the ones that are in relationships are NOT dating Taiwanese. It makes me wonder, why is it so easy for a foreign man to get a Taiwanese girl but so difficult for foreign woman to get a Taiwanese man?

My personal experience
My personal experience. Taiwanese guys will pursue white girls, but not so much if they are larger (taller or heavier) than them. Sounds shallow but not that different from the West. Taiwanese guys generally don't speak English very well. Talk Chinese to them and they will love you.
In general Taiwanese guys are pretty chivalrous (paying for dates, giving you their coat, etc) which some people find charming and others find sexist. Those things are really small behaviors which are easily negotiated.
I am dating a Taiwanese guy right now and we get along wonderfully, but it's definitely a lot more work than dating somebody from the same culture. Both sides need to be really open minded and work to understand the other.
Every individual is different. You are not exactly like the typical person from your country and neither is any given Taiwanese guy. Ask first before jumping to conclusions. My boyfriend never attended a cram school (buxiban), for example. And I'm not Christian even if 90%+ of Americans are.
Honestly there might be more white guy-Asian girl relationships around but that doesn't mean those relationships are healthy. When I see a guy who can't function in Taiwanese society without his wife translating everything for him, I don't envy them.
Better hope your guy is not the oldest son/from a "traditional" family or his parents might expect to move in with you later and generally be overbearing. I don't think most American women would be down for that. Not sure about other family-based cultures such as Italy or Latin America.
